Do you remember the story of the teacher who ate a sandwich that a student threw against him on his first day at school? Well, this is the first book he wrote after retiring, and it is the story of his childhood in Ireland. IT IS ASTONISHING, and, as he says in the preface, HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW HE COULD SURVIVE TO THAT. It is a film (and a book) that ought make us wonder and think about many, many things. 

I  pass you the books to both this film and his novel about his work: TEACHER MAN.
